4-H Camps and Conferences

Loudon County 4-H offers a wide variety of camps and conferences for youth of all ages.

Our 3 day long summer sewing day camp offers challenging designs for all sewing levels.

Although our 2021 traditional junior and jr. high camps have been cancelled due to Covid, we hope you will look in to some of our day camps and special events. Be sure to join us next year for our traditional camping programing.

Our traditional camps are 5 day residential camps that provide campers with hands-on activities and engaging adventures, recreational activities, and opportunities
to develop life-long friendships.

4-H Specialized Camps allow 4-H’ers to explore areas they are interested in an in-depth way.

 Like to shop? Like fashion? Like to model? Have an interest in designing clothing? If any of these things interest you, we have a camp you will love! Fashion and Design Conference!  

Fashion and Design Conference is open to all youth 6th-12th grades (6th grade as of 1-1-21). Space is limited – so get your reservation in early! Call us at 865-458-5612 for sign-up information.

4-H Electric Camp logo

4-H Electric Camp is a fun-filled, rewarding adventure in electricity at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. At camp, you will learn what electricity is and how it works.

Learning centers consist of hands-on activities and projects. You will also have the chance explore careers in energy, electricity, and basic sciences. Each camper will receive a T-shirt and items that you have made at camp. It’s really an electrifying experience!

4-H Target Smart Camp is a program of Tennessee 4-H Shooting Sports. It is for youth who are enrolled in grades five through nine as of the date of the camp. This resident camp is located at Clyde Austin 4-H Center in Greeneville, Tennessee.

At camp youth learn appropriate skills to succeed in a variety of shooting sports and related areas such as archery, riflery, shotgun use, muzzleloading, and outdoor skills. Programs emphasize safety, correct form, and responsible use. Campers should receive prior training before attending this camp.

Quilt Camp is a unique camp where 4-Hers take part in the following classes and activities:

• Hands-on classes making quilt blocks and
learning piecing techniques
• Complete a small lap quilt to take home
• Participate in a Quilt Trunk Show
• Help make a Quilt of Valor for someone who
has served our country

Dates: July 12 – 14, 2022

State 4-H Congress meeting with a man on stage
  • Hands-on learning about state government
  • Riverboat Cruise on the General Jackson showboat
  • Musical performance by the Tennessee 4-H Performing Arts Troop
  • Dancing the night away or hanging out with new friends at the Governor’s Ball.
  • Mock legislative session at the State Capital in the state Senate and House Chambers
  • Vote on laws and bills that affect today’s youth
  • Elect the state level 4-H Governor and Speakers of the House and Senate
  • Meeting elected senators & congresspersons (and maybe even the Governor!)
  • Dates: March 20 – 23, 2022

4-H Round-up is a 5 day conference celebrating the achievement of 9th – 12th grade 4-H members.

Held on the U.T. campus, during Round-up each year, 4-H members get to:
  • Compete for college scholarships
  • Elect state 4-H officers for the next year
  • Tour colleges
  • Participate in state 4-H All-Star events
  • Meet 4-H’ers from all across the state
  • Participate in the 4-H Vol-State ceremony
  • Dance the night away at the Round-Up Ball

4-H Academic Conference is an epic week of exploring STEM topics, college life, and hands-on activities.

Dates: June 14 – 17, 2022

While at Academic Conference, 4-H members will:

  • Live in the dorms at U.T. Knoxville
  • Get intensive STEM based training from UT scientists
  • Explore STEM careers
  • Do service-learning projects
  • Spend an afternoon at Dollywood
  • Swim at the UT Aquatic Center
  • Make friends from all across the state

All-Star Conferences are held each Spring and Fall for 4-H All-Stars in the 9th – 12th grades.
