Known as the Lakeway to the Smokies, Loudon County is located in East Tennessee, just outside of Knoxville. Surrounded by the waters of 4 TVA lakes and nestled in the shadows of the Smoky Mountains, Loudon County offers a wide range of outdoor activities such as boating, fishing, golfing, and hiking. Loudon County is one of the fastest growing counties in Tennessee and has a diverse rural and urban balance of agriculture production, agritourism, industry, charming shopping venues, and peaceful family living.
UT Extension Loudon serves as the University of Tennessee’s local site and provides current information and educational programming in the areas of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Family and Consume Science, 4-H Youth Development, and Community Economic Development.
